Lucknow,

12 Jan (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated on Monday that

when technology is combined with compassion and governance is built on trust,

growth is inclusive and the future is safe. Speaking at the Uttar Pradesh AI

and Health Innovation Conference in Lucknow, Adityanath stated that AI

(Artificial Intelligence) is a facility for us; it would assist us, make our

work simpler, and provide new height to our approach. However, keep in mind

that any technology should be handled by humans. He went on to say that it

should not be used to control humans. When technology is linked to'samvedna'

(compassion), policies are implemented with 'navaachaar' (innovation), and

governance is built on trust, progress is inclusive and the future is safe,

according to Adityanath.

He

also stated that the UP AIM (AI Mission) worth Rs 2,000 crore will be

implemented in stages over the next three years. Over the last 11 years, we've

seen this transition play out on the ground in a changing India. When we

created the administration eight years ago in 2017, the most common complaint

we had from the people was that they were not receiving their rations. The

Public Distribution System received the greatest criticism in every village,

district, and level, and we, too, were unsure about the future, Adityanath

stated. He also stated that raids were carried out on 80,000 fair pricing

retailers as part of a coordinated operation.

We

seized 30 lakh phony ration cards. And the 30 lakh ration cards belonged to the

poor and underprivileged, who were protesting. But rations were given in the

names of these 30 lakh persons, which were then sold on the illicit market, he

claimed. He also stated that e-POS equipment had been deployed at 80,000

stores. We monitor them at the state level using computerized displays. Today,

there have been no complaints. There are absolutely no complaints. This is how

technology can bring about change in people's lives, win the government's

trust, and put the government's goal into action. This is an example. Over the

last 11 years, we've seen many such examples emerge on the ground, according to

the chief minister.
