Guwahati, 13 May (HS): The ruling party BJP is going to welcome all the winning and losing candidates of the village panchayat. On the other hand, a panchayat conference to be organized after the election of the village panchayat presidents. This program will be held at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra in Panjabari, Guwahati. The BJP has shown surprising results in the Panchayat elections. In view of this, Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said these things while addressing the media at a press conference organized at the state BJP headquarters Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan on Tuesday.

Addressing the press conference along with State BJP President Dilip Saikia, the Chief Minister thanked the people of Assam for the faith in BJP alliance. The Chief Minister said that BJP alliance has ensured victory on 300 seats in the Zilla Parishad. In this, BJP has won 272 seats, AGP has won 28 seats and Rabha Hasang has won 4 seats. BJP alliance has won 76.22% seats. Out of the total 2192 seats in the regional panchayat, BJP-alliance has won 1436 seats. In contrast, BJP has won 1235 seats and AGP has won 171 seats. Congress has got 50% less seats than the last election.''

In the press conference, the Chief Minister said, Congress has won seats in minority areas. Whereas, BJP has also got votes in minority areas this time. Congress has not got the votes of Hindu voters. On the contrary, the BJP has also got votes in minority areas. BJP has also succeeded in getting 30-35% votes in Hojai, Dhing, Samaguri area. Where we were not getting votes earlier, now we are in second place. Unlike the Lok Sabha elections, we have got a lot of votes in the Panchayat elections. If the results of the Panchayat come in the Assembly, we will win 103 seats.

The Chief Minister said, I am carrying the blessings of the people of Assam with me. I will move forward with the blessings of the people of Assam. We have started distributing the application forms of the new scheme for 2026. No scheme has been provided yet, but when the applicants get the benefits, then everyone will understand what will happen.''

Chief Minister Dr. Sarma said that 'Tea garden, tribal, six Janagosthi people have voted wholeheartedly. We have been able to achieve complete victory in 100% Moran, Matak, Kalita, Chutia areas. Our friendship with AGP, Rabha Hasang, Gana Shakti was very good. The presidents of each party have provided party tickets in a beautiful manner. There is no dissatisfaction at any place regarding our ticket distribution. Friendship, ticket distribution and election campaigns have been done very efficiently. Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Union Minister Pabitra Margherita have campaigned well.

The Chief Minister also informed that BJP National President and Union Minister JP Nadda will be present in the Panchayat Sammelan to be held in Srimanta Sankardev Kala Kshetra. The Chief Minister said that gradually the women of the minority area have started voting. No minority woman voted for the Congress in the Assembly. We have a lot of work to do for Jorhat. Whether to contest the election in Jorhat or not is a matter for later. The Chief Minister said that I have voted NOTA for the post of ward member.---------------
