9 Dec (HS): A domestic help working for a man living in a society in Sector 79,

under the jurisdiction of Police Station Sector 113, committed suicide this

morning by jumping from the sixth floor. Police arrived at the scene after

receiving information about the incident and are investigating the matter.

Kumar Gautam, media in-charge of Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh, said that

this morning the police received information that a domestic help working at a

man's house in Sector 79 had jumped from the sixth floor of his house. He said

that the domestic help was admitted to a hospital in critical condition for

treatment, where doctors declared her dead. He said that during the

investigation, it was found that her name was Kalpana Pal, daughter of Krishna

Pal, age 25. She lived in Sorkha village. He said that the police, who reached

the spot after receiving information about the incident, are investigating the

matter.

The

media officer stated that the deceased 's family has been informed of the

incident. He added that the police are trying to determine why she committed

suicide. Meanwhile, there is a lot of discussion among the domestic workers

working in the society regarding this incident. They have demanded an impartial

investigation from the police. The media officer stated that the police are

investigating the case with the help of CCTV cameras installed in the society.
