7 Dec (HS): A staff nurse at the Rasra Community Health Centre in Ballia
district has been charged with forging papers, hiding facts, and using
different dates of birth in several exams, police said on Sunday. An FIR was
launched against nurse Kumudlata Rai in response to a complaint filed by Dr
Manish Jaiswal, Superintendent of the Rasra Community Health Centre. According
to the FIR, Rai, a native of Amarhat village in Mau district, reportedly passed
many tests in different years by using different dates of birth and then
acquired the job by concealing facts. Rasra Police Station in Charge Yogendra
Bahadur Singh stated that a FIR has been filed against the nurse under the
relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and an inquiry is underway.

Sanjeev Verman, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), said on Sunday that Rai, who had
worked as a staff nurse at the Rasra Community Health Centre for over 10 years,
was suspended on Friday. He stated that a departmental investigation proved
that she gained her position with false paperwork. Rai was suspended on the
Director General of Medical and Health Services' orders, and proceedings to
file case against her were commenced, according to the CMO.
