Hooghly, 7 December (H.S.):

A mobile healthcare service camp in Hooghly's Tarakeshwar block has become the latest flashpoint exposing internal rifts within the Trinamool Congress. A sudden, overnight change in the service location has left local residents in the lurch, with party factionalism being blamed for the confusion. A Trinamool Panchayat deputy head alleged that the location where the service was supposed to be provided was changed overnight at the behest of party leaders. Moreover, this information did not reach all the residents of the area. As a result, the local residents are ultimately facing the difficulties. This incident occurred in the Naita Malpahad Gram Panchayat area of Tarakeshwar.

On Sunday morning, the mobile medical service camp was supposed to be held in front of a school near the Naita Gram Panchayat. The Panchayat had already been informed by the BDO office. Following this, the Panchayat also conducted publicity in the area. In the morning, many people arrived in the area to avail the service. However, it was discovered that without any written instructions from the health department, the camp was being set up about 4 kilometers away from the original location. This led to tension in the political circles of the area, and factionalism within the Trinamool Congress came to the forefront.

Sheikh Manirul, the deputy head of the local Trinamool-run Panchayat, pointed fingers at the local leadership. He said, Party leaders orchestrated this incident to undermine the Panchayat. People are being deprived of the service. The leaders are repeatedly trying to put pressure on the Panchayat. His comments have sparked a debate.

However, Trinamool's Tarakeshwar block president, Pradip Singhray, dismissed the allegations of factionalism. He said there is no dispute. The location of the mobile healthcare service is decided by the health department. The location was changed due to a death in that area.

However, The vice-president of the BJP's Arambagh organizational district asked, Resolve your own disputes. Why are the people being troubled? On the other hand, regarding the change of location, Dr. Sheikh Hanif, the health officer of Tarkeshwar Rural Hospital, said that he provided the service only on the instructions of higher authorities. He says it is not possible to say anything more than that.
