7 Dec (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath urged all residents to
generously donate to the Armed Forces Flag Day fund, which was established to
benefit serving defense troops, combat victims, war widows, and the relocation
of former soldiers and dependents. He
offered his greetings on Armed Forces Flag Day, which is commemorated on
December 7 to honour martyrs, men and women in uniform, and to pay respect to
valiant heroes who have given their lives in service to the nation. He stated
that it is our grave obligation not just to show profound appreciation for the
martyrs and heroic troops who were injured in the line of duty, but also to
recognize and help their families.
In
a post on X, he stated, “Heartiest congratulations and best wishes to the brave
soldiers of the country's armed forces and their families on 'Armed Forces Flag
Day'. Salute to all the soldiers of the armed forces who sacrifice everything
to protect the unity, integrity and borders of the country while performing
their duties with indomitable courage, bravery and valor. Jai Hind!”
He
also expressed condolences on tragic loss of lives in Goa night club fire. He
posted on X, “The
loss of life in the unfortunate accident in Arpora, Goa, is deeply saddening.
My condolences are with the bereaved families. I pray to God to grant the
departed souls a place in his feet and a speedy recovery to the injured.”
