New Delhi, 7 December (H.S.): Following widespread operational and technical disruptions that affected several of its flights recently, IndiGo’s Board of Directors has announced the formation of a Special Crisis Management Group (CMG) with immediate effect. The move aims to restore normal flight operations and address the inconvenience caused to passengers.

According to the airline’s official statement issued on Sunday, the newly formed CMG includes Vikram Singh Mehta (Chairman), Gregg Saretsky, Mike Whitaker, Amitabh Kant, and IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers. The group is holding regular review meetings to monitor the situation closely and is receiving continuous updates from the airline’s management team.

An IndiGo spokesperson said the board is taking swift action to resolve the issue and ensure the earliest possible normalization of flight services. The spokesperson added that affected passengers will receive full refunds, while no additional fees will be charged for rebooking on alternate flights.

Reassuring passengers, IndiGo’s management emphasized that customer safety and convenience remain the airline’s top priorities. The company has also initiated a comprehensive review and corrective action plan to prevent such disruptions in the future.
