IndiGo Claims Operations Stabilising After Massive Flight Disruptions

New Delhi, 7 December (H.S.): IndiGo on Sunday claimed that its operations are gradually stabilising after a phase of severe disruption and widespread flight cancellations that left thousands of passengers stranded across the country. The airline said it had set a target of operating more than 1,500 flights by the end of the day on Sunday as it works to restore normalcy across its network.

Detailing the recovery, IndiGo stated that it had already operated over 700 flights to 113 destinations on Saturday. The carrier added that flights have now resumed to 135 out of its 138 destinations, indicating that more than 95% of its network connectivity has been restored.

According to the airline, the primary focus has been on restarting its full network, restoring systems, and realigning crew duty rosters, and early positive signs of improvement are now visible.

The company acknowledged that a large number of flights had to be cancelled in recent days, resulting in significant inconvenience to passengers. IndiGo once again issued an apology and assured customers that refunds for all flights cancelled due to the recent disruptions have been processed to passengers’ accounts.

The airline further announced that for passengers with bookings between December 5, 2025, and December 15, 2025, all requests for cancellations or rescheduling will be accommodated without any charges. IndiGo said this waiver aims to provide maximum flexibility and relief to affected travellers as operations return to normal.
