During the discussion, Principal Secretary (Energy) Shri Vishal Dev stressed the urgent need to move away from fossil-fuel-based systems and accelerate the adoption of non-fossil energy sources to enable a successful transition. He noted that strong Public-Private Partnership (PPP) frameworks, supported by balanced and sustained investments, are essential to overcome the complex challenges associated with the energy shift.

The panelists highlighted Odisha’s power distribution system as a noteworthy example of effective energy management under the DISCOM model, demonstrating how structured partnerships can produce measurable results.

The dialogue brought together several eminent leaders from the energy sector, including Dr. Praveer Sinha, CEO of Tata Power; Shri Debabrata Ghosh, India Head of Aurora Energy; Shri Chandra Bhusan, CEO of iForest; Shri Vivek Jaswal, EVP (Green Hydrogen & PMO) at Renew; and Shri Prashant Choubey, President of Avaada Group.
