Guwahati, 07 December (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday paid rich tributes to eminent Assamese writer, journalist and social thinker Homen Borgohain on his birth anniversary, recalling his immense contribution to Assam’s literary and social life.
The Chief Minister described Borgohain as a towering figure of Assam’s national life whose presence and guidance left an indelible impact on generations. Remembering his personal association with the late writer, Dr Sarma said that the opportunity to be in the proximity of such a great son of Assam and receive his guidance would remain one of the most cherished blessings of his life.
