SEOUL, 16 November (H.S.): President Lee Jae Myung is scheduled to meet with the leaders of South Korea's top conglomerates on Sunday to coordinate follow-up measures for the nation's pivotal trade and security agreements recently finalized with the United States.

The high-level meeting, set for 2 p.m., comes just two days after Seoul and Washington released a joint fact sheet detailing the comprehensive deal. A central component of the agreement involves South Korea's commitment to a monumental $350 billion investment in the U.S., which in turn secures a reduction of U.S. tariffs from 25 percent down to 15 percent on key exports.

Expected to attend are the heads of South Korea's most influential corporations, including Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong, SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, and Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Euisun Chung. Leaders from LG Group, HD Hyundai, and Hanwha will also be present.President Lee is anticipated to brief the business chiefs on the intricacies of the final agreement and outline the necessary subsequent actions.

According to the presidential office, he will emphasize the critical need for the government and private sector to operate as one team to navigate the evolving global trade landscape, particularly in core sectors like semiconductors, automobiles, defense, and pharmaceuticals.
