Patiala, 14 November (H.S.): Punjab and Haryana authorities have issued traffic advisories ahead of the Delhi march on November 14 by the Qaumi Insaaf Morcha and some farmer groups.

The Shambhu Border on the Rajpura–Ambala–Delhi highway will remain closed from 7 am to 6 pm on Friday, Punjab Police said. Commuters have been asked to use alternative routes such as Mohali–Derabassi–Ambala, Rajpura–Banur–Zirakpur–Derabassi, and Patiala–Ghanaur–Ambala.

The Haryana Police said traffic from Delhi to Ambala will not be affected. However, vehicles travelling from Ambala to Patiala cannot use the Shambhu border and must take routes like Shahabad–Saha–Panchkula–Chandigarh or Ambala–Lalru–Zirakpur–Rajpura.

The Qaumi Insaaf Morcha has called the march to demand the release of Sikh prisoners and justice in the 2015 sacrilege and police firing cases. The group has been protesting in Chandigarh and Mohali since January 2023.
