New Delhi, 12 December (HS): Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, revolutionary reforms have taken place in the field of culture and tourism, which are providing socio-economic as well as intellectual benefits to Indians. Indian culture is no longer a victim of neglect and insult, this change can be felt in the environment of the country. In this sequence, the world's largest museum of the era is being built in New Delhi. Talking to reporters at his residence on Thursday, Shekhawat said that the National Manuscript Mission, Global Kashi Culture Path, repatriation of antiquities, increase in the number of classical Indian languages, Pari Project, organization of the first Asian Buddhist Summit and the Remembrance Day of the 75th year of the adoption of the Constitution etc. are incomparable. The organization of Maha Kumbh-2025 will take our cultural prosperity to every corner of the world.

Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that the tenure of more than 10 years of the Narendra Modi government is inspired by the firm commitment to realize the vision of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' and 'Vikas Bhi Virasat Bhi'. The minister emphasized that the country has seen a profound change in its policies and aspirations since 2014, which symbolizes a new era of development and cultural renaissance. The grand Ram temple has been completed in Ayodhya, which is a historic milestone. Vishwanath Dham in Kashi is increasing the stature of the cultural capital of India, while development projects in Somnath are setting new standards.

Shekhawat said that there is a strong preparation to make the tourism sector an integral part of the creation of 'Developed India'. 76.17 million jobs have been created in tourism. Tourism Didi and Tourism Mitra program have been started. Foreign exchange earnings are estimated to be $28.07 billion, an increase of 42.53 percent compared to 2014. There is a significant increase of 95.64 percent in the number of domestic tourists. India's ranking in the Global Travel and Tourism Development Index has come down from 65 to 39. Projects worth more than Rs 68,00 crore have been completed for destination development. The Union Minister said that projects worth Rs 3,295.76 crore have been approved in the states. E-tourist visa facility is proving beneficial. Shekhawat shared information related to culture and tourism sector. He said that we are moving ahead with the thinking of 'development as well as heritage'.
