I'd like to express my gratitude to the President and First Lady. They have entrusted me with serving in this role for the last 15 months, Psaki said at her final White House briefing on Friday. She also expressed gratitude to White House press secretary Josh Earnest and reporters in the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room.

You have pushed me, debated with me, and at times we have disagreed. That is how democracy works. That's how it works. I appreciate everything you do. Thank you for improving my life. And, most importantly, thank you for the work you do every day to strengthen this country, she added.
