European markets also witnessed mixed performance in the previous session.

The U.S. stock market closed with mixed results in the last trading session, supported by gains in chipmakers and short-covering activity. The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined by 80.77 points, or 0.16 per cent, to close at 50,786.01. In contrast, the S&P 500 gained 0.30 per cent to settle at 7,405.73.

The technology-heavy Nasdaq outperformed the broader market, rising 220.23 points, or 0.86 per cent, to end the session at 25,929.66. Meanwhile, Dow Jones Futures were trading 0.07 per cent higher at 50,821.45 during early market activity on Tuesday.

European markets delivered mixed performances during the previous session. The FTSE Index edged up by 0.05 per cent to close at 10,373.20. However, France's CAC 40 Index slipped 0.23 per cent to end at 8,199.29, while Germany's DAX Index fell by 142.83 points, or 0.58 per cent, to close at 24,616.22.

Asian markets displayed a broadly positive trend on Tuesday, with eight of the region's nine major indices trading in positive territory. The only exception was Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index, which was down 0.23 per cent at 24,600.

Among the gainers, GIFT Nifty rose 84 points, or 0.36 per cent, to 23,257.50, indicating a positive opening sentiment for Indian equities.

China's Shanghai Composite Index advanced 0.51 per cent to 3,979.68. South Korea's Kospi emerged as the strongest performer of the day, surging 432.34 points, or 5.46 per cent, to 7,916.75.

Taiwan's Weighted Index climbed 1,191.06 points, or 2.66 per cent, to 44,693.84. Indonesia's Jakarta Composite Index gained 110 points, or 2.02 per cent, to reach 5,452.14.

Japan's Nikkei Index jumped 1,165.40 points, or 1.79 per cent, to 65,190. Singapore's Straits Times Index rose 0.98 per cent to 5,012.75, while Thailand's SET Composite Index advanced 0.92 per cent to 1,576.17.

The broadly positive sentiment across global and Asian markets reflects growing investor confidence following reports of reduced geopolitical tensions in West Asia, while gains in technology stocks continue to support risk appetite in major financial markets.
