New Delhi, 09 June (H.S.): The domestic bullion market witnessed a bearish trend during early trading on Monday, with both gold and silver prices extending their decline. Owing to the fall in prices, gold became cheaper by ₹950 to ₹1,040 per 10 grams across bullion markets in the country, excluding Chennai. In Chennai, however, gold prices recorded a sharper decline of ₹1,300 to ₹1,420 per 10 grams. Silver prices also weakened significantly, falling by as much as ₹5,000 per kilogram.

Following the decline, 24-carat gold was trading between ₹151,680 and ₹153,480 per 10 grams in most bullion markets across the country. Similarly, 22-carat gold was being sold in the range of ₹139,040 to ₹140,690 per 10 grams. Silver prices also slipped, with the precious metal trading at ₹259,900 per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market.

In the national capital, 24-carat gold was quoted at ₹151,830 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹139,190 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, the country's financial capital, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹151,680 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹139,040 per 10 grams. Likewise, in Ahmedabad, the retail price of 24-carat gold stood at ₹151,730 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹139,090 per 10 grams.

Apart from these major cities, 24-carat gold in Chennai was trading at ₹153,480 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was available at ₹140,690 per 10 grams. In Kolkata, 24-carat gold was quoted at ₹151,680 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹139,040 per 10 grams. In Bhopal, 24-carat gold was priced at ₹151,730 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was trading at ₹139,090 per 10 grams.

In Jaipur, 24-carat gold was being sold at ₹151,830 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹139,190 per 10 grams. In Patna, 24-carat gold stood at ₹151,730 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹139,090 per 10 grams. In Lucknow, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹151,830 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹139,190 per 10 grams.

Gold prices also registered a decline in the bullion markets of Karnataka, Telangana and Odisha. In the capitals of these three states—Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar—24-carat gold was trading at ₹151,680 per 10 grams. Likewise, 22-carat gold was being sold at ₹139,040 per 10 grams in all three cities.
