Guwahati, 27 May (HS): Assam Transport Minister Charan Boro on Wednesday said that the state government will soon implement stricter traffic regulations to curb the rising number of road accidents, particularly in Guwahati city.

Speaking to media persons on the Assam Assembly premises, the minister said that a crucial meeting with the department has been scheduled later in the day to discuss the issue in detail and finalise necessary measures.

Commenting on the frequent road mishaps reported in the metropolitan city, Charan Boro stated that the government is seriously concerned over the situation and stricter enforcement of motor vehicle laws will be introduced shortly to improve road safety and discipline among commuters.------------
