Guwahati, 24 May (HS): A horrific road accident at Bazarapara in Palashbari of Kamrup District claimed the lives of four motorcycle riders on Saturday night following a head-on collision between two bikes. In an another accident in Guwahati's Gorchuk area, one truck driver killed on the spot last night. The incident created panic in the area and drew a large crowd to the accident site.

According to reports, three bike riders killed on the spot after the two motorcycles collided with great force. Another injured rider, who was rushed to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for treatment, later succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased have been identified as Jyoti Kalita, Nikhil Das and Chandan Jana, while the identity of the fourth victim was yet to be officially confirmed at the time of filing this report. Truck driver is yet to be identified.

Police reached the spot soon after the accident and initiated an investigation into the incident.-----------
