Jammu, 7 August (H.S.): Senior BJP leader and MLA from Bahu Assembly constituency, Ch. Vikram Randhawa, held a public darbar at the BJP headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, here, today.
A large number of individuals and deputations representing various areas of Jammu raised multiple issues concerning civic amenities, infrastructure, and public service in the darbar.
Among other deputations, a deputation from Digiana presented a land dispute requiring immediate Revenue Department related intervention. A deputation from Nanak Nagar demanded new street lights. A deputation from Narwal Pain demanded extension of deployment on serious health grounds.
A deputation from Last Morh, Gandhi Nagar complained about encroachment on back side of Shree Lakshmi Narayan Mandir. A deputation from sector-4 Channi Himmat demanded maintenance of Hariyali Park. A deputation from Sector-7, Channi Himmat demanded repair of road, lane and drain. One deputationist requested for the pending appointment under SRO 43. A deputation from Gandhi Nagar demanded clearance of lane and drain. A deputation from Gole Market demanded the repair in PHE pipes. A deputation from Arnas requested for the construction of foot path. A deputation from Bahu Fort Bawe demanded construction of a ‘Sarai’ in Bawe Wali Mata Mandir.
Ch. Vikram Randhawa immediately took up many of the issues with the officials of concerned departments. In several instances, he issued written instructions to ensure timely action.
Speaking on the occasion, Ch. Vikram Randhawa stressed that there are many issues that are being faced by the common masses. He said that the issues may be trivial or the ones which are grave and require immediate official intervention, but often the people do not have access to the proper channel, so they have to suffer. BJP, through this public darbar, has opened up a gate through which every possible assistance is provided to the aggrieved, added Randhawa.
