Charaideo (Assam), 07 August (HS): A strong protest erupted in Sonari after an alleged attempt to attack a worker of the Typh organization, police informed on Thursday. The protest was led by members of the Uzani ethnic organizations, who blamed individuals from the Mia community for the incident.
In response, the Typh organization has issued a 48-hour ultimatum demanding the attackers leave Upper Assam. Typh president Diganta Tamuil, addressing a protest gathering in front of Sonari College, warned that if the suspected individuals are not arrested, a 100-hour shutdown would be enforced in the Charaideo district.
