Guwahati, 07 August (HS): North Eastern Handicrafts and Handloom Development Corporation Ltd (NEHHDC), a Government of India enterprise, is organising a special event on the occasion of National Handloom Day this Thursday at the Craft Promotion & Experience Center in Garchuk.

The event will be graced by Assam’s Minister of Industries and Commerce, Bimal Borah, as the Chief Guest. The programme aims to promote the handicrafts and handloom traditions of the North Eastern region, while recognising the contributions of local artisans and weavers.

The event will feature craft exhibitions, live demonstrations and cultural performances. NEHHDC’s initiative is also in line with the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, aiming to empower local artisans and promote traditional craftsmanship.
