Visually imparted, tribal girls tied Rakhis to Governor at Raj Bhavan


Mumbai, 07 Aug (HS):

The visually impaired girl students and tribal girls from Raigad and Thane

district, and Mumbai’s Women’s Self-Help Group members, and school students

tied Rakhi to the Governor C P Radhakrishnan. The Rakhis made from bamboo were

brought from Vivek Rural Development Centre, Bhaliwali village in Palghar

district.

The girls and women

met the Governor at Raj Bhavan on Thursday. Radhakrishnan enquired about them

and distributed gifts to them. Those who tied Rakhis were from Mamta Bal Sadan,

started by Sindhutai Sapkal, students of Kumbharwalan, Mumbai municipal school,

Women’s Self-Help Groups, Integrated Tribal Development Project, Shahapur,

Thane, and visually imparted students from National Association for the Blind,

Pen, Raigad.

The members of

Prajapita Brahmakumari Ishwariya Vishvavidyalaya and Bharat Vikas Parishad,

Matunga, also tied Rakhis to Radhakrishnan.
