Pune, 07 Aug (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will
inaugurate the Pune-Nagpur-Pune Vande Bharat Semi-Speed-Express train on
August 10. The Railway Authorities have announced that the date has been
finalised.
The demand for the additional train between Nagpur
and Pune has been raised for the last two years. The Railway Minister, Ashvini Vaishnav, had announced that plans to introduce the train are being worked
out. The dream to facilitate travel between the Vidarbha region and Pune is
coming true. The Railway Board was directed to plan the train.The Railway Minister, with the Railway Board
officials, held a meeting online to plan the train, which was finally
approved.
The travel time will be reduced by about three hours
compared to the existing train timings, with the introduction of the Vande
Bharat Express, from 15 hours to 12 hours.
A large number of students, employees in Pune from the
Vidarbha region will benefit from the introduction of the train. The timings of
the train, however, is under dispute.
