Bhubaneswar, 7 August (H.S.)Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of being “rattled” by prolonged absence from power and attempting to undermine constitutional institutions through orchestrated political statements.
In a strongly worded post on social media, Pradhan referred to Rahul Gandhi as a statement warrior and said that the ideologically hollow Congress party was engaging in a deliberate campaign against democratic institutions like the Election Commission of India.
Rahul Gandhi appears to have lost his composure in the face of continued political defeat. The Congress party, lacking ideological clarity, is systematically targeting constitutional bodies. There seems to be a deeper conspiracy against India’s democracy and Constitution behind this planned narrative, Pradhan wrote.
Referring to the Emergency period, he added, “This is not surprising, given that the history of his family is marred by the dark chapter of the Emergency.”
Responding to Rahul Gandhi's recent criticism of the Election Commission, Pradhan asserted that the people’s mandate in a democracy must be respected. By attacking the Election Commission, Rahul Gandhi is insulting the people's conscious and informed decision. Where was he when the Commission invited all parties to register complaints regarding SIR in Bihar? Neither Congress nor any INDI Alliance member approached the EC then, he stated.
