Mumbai, 07 Aug (HS): Expressing grief about the
death of six people, including four children in two different road accidents in
Gadchiroli and Parbhani on Thursday, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra
Fadnavis announced a financial help of Rs 4 Lakhs to the families of the
deceased children. Two others injured in the accidents are being treated at a
government hospital. Fadnavis also announced that the government will bear the expenses of their treatment.
Six children on the Gadchiroli-Nagpur Highway were hit
by a truck on Thursday morning. The truck fled the spot after the accident. Two
of the victims died on the spot, while two others died on the way to a hospital.
The remaining two have been referred to a hospital in Nagpur for treatment. The
accident occurred in Katli village on the highway.
In Parbhani, two women on a morning walk were hit by
an unknown vehicle near Daidhana village on the Parbhani-Gangakhed Highway.
Both died on the spot. The vehicle involved in the accident fled the scene
after the accident.
