07 Aug (HS): The MP MLA court in Varanasi has ordered to register a case against

former minister Swami Prasad Maurya while hearing a petition filed against him

for commenting on Tulsidas, Ramcharitmanas. In the year 2023, Swami Prasad

Maurya, while giving an interview, made indecent comments on Tulsidas,

Ramcharitmanas, due to which, unhappy with this, Metropolitan Vice President of

Bharatiya Janata Party and Advocate Ashok Kumar had filed a petition before the

court to register a case. Advocate Ashok Kumar said that today on the occasion

of his birthday, the court has given him the best gift. The order to register a

case on his petition is going to give relief to crores of Hindu sentiments. The

order of the court is welcome. After this, a case will be registered against

Swami Prasad Maurya in the Cantt police station of Varanasi and further action

will be taken.
