Balrampur,
19 July (HS): The noose of UP ATS (Anti-Terrorist Squad) is tightening on the
gang of Jamaluddin alias Changur baba, the main accused in the illegal conversion.
In this connection, ATS has arrested two youths working for Changur baba on
Saturday.
It has been told by ATS that the arrested accused have been
identified as Shahabuddin and Sabroz, who are residents of Balrampur district.
Both were working to incite the poor and helpless people to change their
religion for a long time. Both of them are considered very close to Chhagur baba,
who is the mastermind of this entire gang.
Their aim was to expand the network
by increasing the number by any means. Police investigation has revealed that
this network was active for a long time in the conspiracy to convert people to
a particular religion by force or by luring them. A case has been registered
against them in ATS Lucknow police station under the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition
of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act. After arresting both of them in
Balrampur, preparations are underway to present them in the court and take them
on remand. ATS is now preparing to reach other members of this network and the
funding source through their interrogation.
