Howrah, 19 July (H.S.): West Bengal BJP President Shamik Bhattacharya has once again launched a scathing attack on the Trinamool Congress government, alleging a complete breakdown of law and order in West Bengal. His remarks come in the wake of the arrest of several accused linked to Bihar gangster Chandan Mishra’s murder, who were reportedly apprehended from the New Town area near Kolkata.
On Saturday morning, Bhattacharya visited the residence of Asim Ghosh, former BJP state president and newly appointed Governor of Haryana, in Howrah to extend his greetings.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, the BJP leader said, “All kinds of anti-social elements, criminals, and terrorists now believe that this is their government. Law and order no longer exist in West Bengal. The administrative machinery has collapsed and has become completely politicized. This is why such incidents are happening frequently.”
Bhattacharya also raised concerns over Bangladeshi infiltration and terrorist activities in the state. He stated, “Today, Bangladeshi infiltrators are hiding across West Bengal. ISIS agents are being arrested from here. The government, ministers, political leaders, terrorists, and infiltrators have all become one. The state has turned into a football ground. People are desperate to get out of this mess.”
He further criticized the TMC government for negligence in the healthcare sector, referring to the Balurghat incident where eight pregnant women reportedly fell ill after being administered the wrong injection in a government hospital.
“As long as the TMC remains in power, such anarchy will continue in the state,” he declared.
Concluding his remarks, Bhattacharya said, “To save West Bengal, restore law and order, and revive the education and healthcare systems, the fall of the TMC government is absolutely necessary.”
