Itanagar, 19 July (HS): Due to continuous heavy rains in Arunachal Pradesh, debris and water from the hills have flown on the roads in many areas. Due to this, the road connectivity between Lower Siang and Lepa Rada districts has been completely disrupted. Both the district administrations have advised people to avoid unnecessary travel till further notice.
According to the information, this connectivity has been cut off due to the closure of an important road near the Garo area located on the border of both the districts. Traffic on the Basar-Alo-Tirbin road has been badly affected due to continuous rain. This route is considered an important corridor for traffic and supply of goods. This road also serves as a lifeline for the local people. The current deteriorating situation has made the movement of citizens dangerous, due to which people are worried.
Here, continuous rain has created landslide and flood like situations. In such a situation, the Lower Siang and Lepa Rada district administration has appealed to the people not to travel on risky roads until the situation becomes normal. The district administration has appealed to all the travelers to be cautious and strictly follow the government guidelines. Emergency services are closely monitoring the situation. Officials said that the work of repairing damaged roads will be started as soon as the weather improves. -------------
