Delhi, 19 July (H.S.): The Indian Navy's Survey Vessel Large (SVL) INS Sandhayak made its first port call at Port Klang, Malaysia, from 16 - 19 July 2025, focusing on hydrographic cooperation. This visit highlights India's expanding role in regional hydrographic capacity under the Indian Naval Hydrographic Department and National Hydrographic Office. Launched in February 2024, INS Sandhayak is equipped for coastal and deep-water surveying, oceanographic data collection, and Search and Rescue operations.

Activities during the visit included knowledge exchanges, official receptions, and events promoting international goodwill, aligning with the MAHASAGAR vision. This reinforces India's commitment to enhancing regional maritime cooperation.
