New Delhi, July 19(HS): The CBI arrested Assistant Accounts Officer Dharmender Kumar Verma from the BSF office in Delhi for accepting a bribe of 40,000 rupees on July 18. Following a complaint alleging that Verma demanded a bribe of two lakh rupees for processing the complainant's salary and pending bills, the CBI set a trap.

During the negotiation, Verma agreed to receive 15 to 20 percent of the total as a bribe. He was apprehended while receiving the first installment of 40,000 rupees.The CBI has initiated further investigations to uncover additional individuals involved in the scam, including other officers or employees. Verma will be presented in court, and legal actions will be pursued against him.
