New Delhi, July 18(HS): The domestic stock market faces pressure in early trading, starting with a minor decline. After opening, the Sensex and Nifty indices briefly turned positive due to buying support, but soon fell back into the red due to selling pressure. By 10 AM, the Sensex was down 0.30 percent and the Nifty by 0.27 percent. Key stocks like Tata Steel, JSW Steel, ONGC, Hindalco Industries, and Infosys saw gains of 1.12 percent to 0.41 percent, while Axis Bank, Bharti Airtel, SBI Life Insurance, Tech Mahindra, and Kotak Mahindra experienced declines between 3.86 percent and 0.58 percent.

In total, 2,322 shares were traded: 1,239 in profit and 1,083 in loss. Among the 30 Sensex shares, 11 remained positive and 19 negative, while in the 50 Nifty shares, 21 were up and 29 down. The BSE Sensex opened with a decline of 65.62 points at 82,193.62, rising to 82,334.75 before falling to 82,011.66 by 10 AM, down 247.58 points. The NSE Nifty began lower at 25,108.55, surged to 25,144.60, and dropped to 25,043.50, down 67.95 points. On the previous trading day, both indices closed lower.
