- 1,21,182 government jobs provided, preparations for more appointments continue

- 40-50K more jobs in October: Chief Minister

Guwahati, 18 July (HS): Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma distributed 342 appointment letters on Friday for posts including lecturers in engineering and polytechnic colleges. The Chief Minister distributed these appointment letters during a grand ceremony held at the GMCH auditorium.

With this, during the tenure of Chief Minister Dr Sarma, the Assam government has so far provided government jobs to 1,21,182 youth.

Chief Minister Dr. Sarma said on the occasion, These appointments will definitely improve the quality of education in our technical institutions. This is an important step towards fulfilling the commitment of our government to provide government jobs.

The Chief Minister said, 40-50 thousand more appointment letters will be distributed in October. With this, the total number of government appointments in the 5-year tenure of our government will be reached about 1.75 lakh.
