Prayagraj,
9 Dec (HS): According to the weather forecast issued for Prayagraj district,
Prateek Kumar, Technical Officer at SHUATS, stated that there is no chance of
rain for the next five days, and the weather will remain dry and clear,
creating favorable conditions for harvesting, drying, and storing Rabi crops.
With maximum temperatures ranging from 26–27°C and minimum temperatures ranging
from 10–12°C, soil moisture in wheat, mustard, chickpea, and vegetables may
decrease.
Therefore, light irrigation is recommended. Spray recommended
pesticides for weed control in wheat, pest management in mustard and chickpea,
and disease control in tomatoes and cabbage. Keep sheds warm and dry to protect
animals from the cold, and use potassium permanganate in fish ponds to prevent
fungal infections caused by temperature drops. Overall, this week is suitable
for agricultural activities, but special attention is needed to protect crops,
vegetables, and animals from the cold.
