9 Dec (HS): In Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh, police shot dead a wanted

criminal in an encounter. Thana Bhawan and Babri police of Shamli district have

got a big success. Late on Monday night, a joint team of Thana Bhawan and Babri

police killed history-sheeter criminal Samaydin alias Sama, who was wanted with

a reward of Rs 50,000, in an encounter. The criminal was absconding after

dodging the police for a long time. Superintendent of Police Shamli NP Singh

gave detailed information about the entire incident. SP told that Samaydin,

resident of Mohalla Raijadgan police station Kandhla, who was hiding in Janta

Colony Urukere district Tumkur (Karnataka) for some time.

He

was a notorious criminal in Shamli. He had several serious criminal cases

against him and had been absconding for a long time. A district-level reward of

Rs. 50,000 had been announced for his arrest. The police were constantly

monitoring his activities.

Samaydin

opened indiscriminate fire on the police: Late last night, the police received

information that Samaydin was active in the area with the intention of carrying

out a major crime. Upon receiving the information, the Thana Bhawan and Babri

police stations jointly launched a cordon and search operation. Upon seeing the

police, Samaydin began firing indiscriminately.

The

injured was taken to the hospital: According to the Superintendent of Police,

the police retaliated in self-defense, injuring Samaydin. He was taken to the

hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him dead.

A

large quantity of weapons was recovered: Police recovered a large quantity of

weapons from the encounter site. These included a 9mm pistol, two empty

cartridges, a .32 bore pistol, two empty cartridges, a 315 bore pistol, two

empty cartridges, and four live cartridges. The Superintendent of Police stated

that Samaydeen was wanted in several serious cases, including the Gangster Act.

Police are investigating his criminal record to identify his network and

possible associates.

The

Superintendent of Police (SP) stated that strict action will continue against

those who challenge law and order in the district. He commended the police team

for their promptness and bravery and announced a reward for the team. He stated

that the encounter was conducted entirely within the established rules and in

self-defense. The police claim that the campaign against such criminals will

continue in the future to maintain peace and law and order in the district.
