Chennai, 9 December (H.S.): The FIA-certified Formula 4 Indian Championship is all set for its thrilling season finale, with the title battle reaching an intense climax. After four competitive rounds, the championship will conclude on December 13–14 at the Madras International Circuit in Chennai, where India’s next Formula 4 champion will be crowned.

Leading the standings heading into the final weekend is 15-year-old Kenyan prodigy Shane Chandaria of Chennai Turbo Riders, who sits on 158 points. Displaying remarkable consistency all season, Chandaria has struck the perfect balance between raw speed and racing intelligence. Three victories — including a crucial win at Kari Motor Speedway last month — have placed him in a commanding yet vulnerable position, with the title still open due to a narrow points gap.

In hot pursuit is French driver Sachel Rotge of Kichcha’s Kings Bengaluru, who stands second with 134 points. Rotge has an impressive record at the Chennai track, having claimed two wins in Round 2 earlier this year. A further win at Coimbatore boosted his confidence heading into the decider.Indian racer Eshaan Madesh of Kolkata Royal Tigers is currently third with 127 points, still very much in contention.

Having already won a race at Chennai this season, Madesh has proven capable of challenging both Chandaria and Rotge in equal measure. With such a tight margin separating the trio, the championship remains wide open.The midfield battle has been equally fierce, featuring standout performances from Sai Shiva Shankaran (Speed Demons Delhi), Ghazi Motlekar (Kolkata Royal Tigers), and Luvive Sambudla (Goa Aces JA Racing). Their wheel-to-wheel duels have consistently captivated spectators throughout the season.

The Madras International Circuit (MIC) famously tests both skill and composure. Its high-speed corners and demanding braking zones reward precision driving, where even the slightest error can prove costly.
