Nagpur, 09 Dec (HS): About 20 tourists were duped by a

fraudster accepting books through a fake website of the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger

Project in Chandrapur district. The case came to light after Regional Director

of TATR Dr Prabhu Nath Shukla received two complaints from the tourists. The

complaints were formally handed over the District Police Superintendent Mumakka

Sudharsan.

TATR is popular among the tourists from all over the

world for tiger sighting. Following heavy rush for online booking, the

fraudster made developed a fake website. During October and November 13

tourists were duped by the fraudster. On November 6, ten tourists registered complaints

with the Forest Department Officials and the Policeon December 3 some another complaint

was received mentioning the fake website.

The Cyber Crime Branch of Police are investigating

into the case.
