Young man shot dead after being lured out of home in Basirhat


North 24 Paragnas, 7 December (H.S.): A brutal murder has sent shockwaves through Basirhat after a young man was lured out of his house late Saturday night and shot dead in a secluded location. The victim's blood-stained body was discovered in bushes in a remote area of the village. The police have arrested two suspects in connection with the killing, though the motive remains unclear.

According to police sources, the deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Asadul Gazi. He was a resident of Faturati area of Nimdaria-Kodalia Gram Panchayat under Basirhat police station. He worked in housekeeping at a residence in Madhyamgram and had recently come home on leave.

Allegedly, late Saturday night, a young man named Amir Hussain Mandal called Asadul out of his house. He was taken to a secluded spot and shot dead. The body was later recovered from the bushes in the area. The body was sent for post-mortem examination on Sunday, and the police have launched an investigation.

Following the investigation, the police arrested the accused, Amir Hussain Mandal and Razzaq Gazi. Local residents said that several complaints had been filed against the accused Amir Mandal in the past.
