CM Stalin: Tamil Nadu is the 'Brand Identity' for Investors

Chennai, 7 December (H.S.) : Chief Minister M.K. Stalin declared that Tamil Nadu has become the brand identity of investors, speaking at the TN Rising Investment Conclave-2025 in Madurai.

To pull the state's economy out of its slump, Tamil Nadu implemented new strategies that have successfully attracted substantial industrial investments from countries including the UAE, Japan, Singapore, the US, and Germany.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the state's success is based on reliable factors like strong industrial policy, availability of skilled human resources, excellent infrastructure, and administrative skill, rather than merely soliciting investments.

During his Dravidian model governance, investment projects worth ₹11,84,00,000 have generated approximately 34 lakh jobs, with about 80% of signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) already operational—an output rate Stalin claimed was unmatched by any other Indian state.

The Madurai conclave saw the signing of 91 MoUs for a total investment of ₹36,660 crore, aiming to create 56,766 jobs. The CM also took pride in the state having the largest women workforce in the industrial sector, citing a Taiwan-based footwear company that committed to investing in Madurai to create 15,000 jobs specifically for women.

In addition to the conclave, CM Stalin had a busy schedule in Madurai: He laid the foundation stone for a SIPCOT at Melur on 278 acres of land.

He released the 'Madurai Master Plan -2044' and the 'Tamil Nadu Toy Manufacturing policy 2025.'He inaugurated the newly built grade separator bridge named after 'Veeramangai Velu Nachiyar' at Melamadai, constructed at a cost of ₹150.28 crore.

At a separate programme in Uthangudi, he inaugurated 63 development projects worth ₹2630.88 crore, laid the foundation for seven new projects, and distributed 1,00,211 house site pattas and welfare measures worth ₹417.43 crore to beneficiaries.
