7 Dec (HS): Wali Mohammad raped a woman working at the Secretariat. He
threatened to make an obscene video and make it viral, pressuring her to
convert. He also extorted Rs. 6L from her. Based on the victim's complaint, an
FIR has been registered at the Mahanagar Police Station. Police are
investigating the matter.
A
woman employee posted in the Secretariat in the capital Lucknow has accused
Wali Mohammad Qureshi, a resident of Siyana in Bulandshahr, of rape. It is
alleged that he also extorted Rs 6 lakh from the woman. Not only this, he
pressured her to convert. He threatened to make an obscene video and make it
viral. Troubled, the victim lodged a complaint at the Mahanagar police station.
The police have registered a report and are searching for the accused.
According to Inspector Mahanagar Akhilesh Kumar Mishra, the victim alleges that
Wali Mohammad Qureshi had contacted her to increase her money by investing in
the share market. Gradually, he started talking to her. By deceiving her, he
took the address of the victim's house. After this, the accused came to Lucknow
and took away the money from her in the name of investing the money in the
share market.
He
used to come to the rented room and do whatever he wanted: Not only this, the
accused kept asking for money from her again and again. Later he befriended her
and started pressurizing her for marriage. It is alleged that the accused has
extorted a total of six lakh rupees from the victim. The accused made an
obscene video of the victim by deceit. He took her to many hotels by
threatening and raped her. It is alleged that he used to come to the rented
room of the victim and do whatever he wanted.
Threatened
to make the video viral in the Secretariat: The victim alleges that Wali
Mohammad Qureshi threatened her that if she did not obey him, he would make the
obscene video viral in the Secretariat. He also threatened to kill the victim's
family. Due to the fear of the accused, the victim endured everything since
2023. He threatened that he would defame her and get her fired from her job.
The accused used to extort money every month in exchange for not making the
video viral.
Pressure
was put on her to wear a hijab: The victim alleges that Wali Mohammad Qureshi
imposed restrictions on her and her sisters. He wouldn't let her see them. He
pressured her to convert to Islam and leave the house wearing a hijab. He
threatened her when she refused. The victim says she fears for her life from
the accused. She has demanded police protection and strict action against the
accused.
