Sribhumi (Assam), 07 December (HS): Police in Sribhumi have arrested five individuals from other states in connection with the abduction of a young woman. Acting on an FIR lodged at the Sribhumi Police Station, a team of officers conducted operations in Chennai and Bengaluru, leading to the arrest of the accused.

According to the police, the arrested individuals have been identified as Noor Ahmed Laskar, Shwas Das, Sajan Ahmed and Jahirul Islam along with one more accomplice. The accused allegedly lured the woman with the promise of work, abducted her and coerced her into immoral activities.

Police said all five are being interrogated thoroughly based on the earlier-filed FIR as the investigation continues.------
