Lucknow,

7 Dec (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath released 'Flag Pin'

and 'Souvenir' today at his official home in Lucknow to commemorate Armed

Forces Flag Day. The move reaffirms the

country's commitment to commemorating the heroic warriors who gave their lives

and supporting their families. Ceremony was held honoring supreme sacrifices of

Indian troops and reiterating the nation's commitment to the welfare of Armed

Forces members and their families.

According to the Chief Minister's Office, the

initiative underscores the government's continued efforts to acknowledge the

courage, service, and sacrifices of those who protect the nation's borders.

Armed Forces Flag Day, commemorated annually on December 7, acts as a

remembrance of India's military heroes' accomplishments while also supporting

fundraising efforts for the rehabilitation and care of ex-servicemen, war

widows, and their families.

In

a post on X, he stated, “Heartiest congratulations and best wishes to the brave

soldiers of the country's armed forces and their families on 'Armed Forces Flag

Day'. Salute to all the soldiers of the armed forces who sacrifice everything

to protect the unity, integrity and borders of the country while performing

their duties with indomitable courage, bravery and valor. Jai Hind!”

Chief

Minister Yogi Adityanath paid sincere thanks to the country's armed forces

troops. In the message, he said,

Heartfelt greetings on 'Armed Forces Flag Day' to valiant soldiers of the

Indian Army, who are perpetually engaged in national defence! Let us all pledge to show our thanks to our

courageous warriors for their courage, dedication, and sense of duty, and to

take an active role in their welfare.

Jai Hind! The Chief

Minister's words emphasize the need of public engagement in welfare efforts for

service members and veterans.

Uttar Pradesh has a large population of

ex-servicemen, and the state government has already established many welfare

packages, including cash support, scholarships, and reservation privileges for

veterans' dependents. Senior

authorities, representatives from ex-servicemen's associations, and members of

the Armed Forces community all attended events in Lucknow.
