Delhi, 2 November (H.S.): India and Pakistan are scheduled to face each other again on the cricket field on Sunday, November 16, just over a month after their dramatic encounter in the Asia Cup 2025. The two rivals will compete in the rebranded ACC Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 tournament.
The upcoming match carries added tension due to an ongoing dispute regarding the handover of the Asia Cup 2025 trophy to the Indian team. The ACC Asia Cup Rising Stars, formerly known as the Emerging Teams Asia Cup, will feature the 'A' teams of the five Test-playing nations—India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan—while the United Arab Emirates, Oman, and Hong Kong will field their senior team.
The tournament is set to take place from November 14 to 23. India's campaign will begin against the UAE on November 14, followed by the highly anticipated match against Pakistan on November 16, and their final group game against Oman on November 18.
This renewal of the on-field rivalry comes as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) plans to address the trophy handover issue at the next International Cricket Council (ICC) meeting.
