Chennai, 1 November (H.S.) : A tragic accident occurred at the Kilpauk signal on the Kilpauk–Poonamallee Highway around 2:30 pm on Saturday when a car collided with a water truck, resulting in one fatality and two injuries.

The car, which was carrying three occupants, was traveling from Pattalam when the collision took place. The victim, identified as Vijay, was with his brother and friend, Vignesh, a fish trader from Vanagaram, at the time of the crash.

All three individuals were rescued from the wreckage and rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, one of the occupants, Vijay, was pronounced dead while en route to the medical facility. The other two individuals involved in the accident are reported to be in stable condition.

Following the incident, the Kilpauk Traffic Police immediately took action by arresting the water truck driver. Authorities have confirmed that an investigation into the matter is currently underway to determine the exact cause and circumstances of the fatal collision.
