Farmer axed to death, half a dozen injured
Chapra/Gopalganj,15 April (HS) A farmer was axed to death and six others were injured over the dispute of putting the corpse on the piece of land. The incident occurred at Rani Sariswa village under Mirganj police station in Gopalganj. Deceased was identified as Kedar Chaudhry. Family members of the deceased Baban Chaudhry, Dudhnath Chaudhry, Anju Kumari, Vinda Devi, Alka Kumari and Chanda Kumari were severely injured and they are being treated at Hathwa hospital. Family members of the deceased told that dispute arose over placing the corpse on a piece of land which their pattidars claimed to be theirs. This led to heated exchange and then skirmish ensued with axe and other weapons like iron rod and bamboo. Kedar was hit on the hit following which he died on he spot. One dozen persons have been made accused in this case out of which three were arrested by the police Inspector Satish Kumar Himanshu told that absconding accused would soon be nabbed.Hindusthan Samachar/Rakesh/Ram\
