TRS party’s innovative mulal campaign
The TRS party came up with an innovative campaign, for Lok Sabha elections in Telangana. To reach out to various sections of society including the non-telugu speakers in Hyderabad and Telangana, the party has released leaflets in nine Indian languages which talk about the initiatives introduced by TRS government in past five years such as Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bhima, 24/7 power supply, Mission Kakatiya, Mission Bhagiratha, SHE Teams, and Metro Rail. Apart from the multilingual leaflets, the TRS party is airing radio ads in multiple languages to reach out to non-Telugu speakers. With due regard for every citizen residing in Telangana, especially in the Cosmopolitan Hyderabad, the TRS party came up with this innovative idea to let people know about the achievements of TRS government and solicit votes for their MP candidates. This is helping the party strike a responsive chord with voters who speak different languages. Telangana is home to people from various Indian states. Apart from native Hindi and Urdu speakers, people who speak Tamil, Malayalam, Marathi, Kannada, Punjabi, Gujarathi, Bengali and various others have made Telangana their home for years. The multilingual leaflets are widely being shared on social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook. This is not for the first time that the TRS party has done something innovative with their election campaign. One has to remember that even during GHMC elections in 2016 and the recently held legislative assembly elections in December 2018, TRS party had released leaflets in different languages, taking an inclusive approach towards the people of Telangana and giving importance to its diversified culture.
