Paris, Apr.3(HS): Last year, more than 11.3 million people in 53 countries of the world were victims of lack of food due to war and climate disasters, and were the most affected Africans. This information was given by the United Nation. In its report of the Food and Agriculture Organization on the food crisis in 2019, Yemen, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Afghanistan and Syria are among the eight countries where two-thirds of the victims of the disease are included. This annual study, which started three years ago, is reviewing the countries facing this horrible crisis.FAO''s emergency director Dominik Burgui said that the worst hit is on the African countries, where 7.2 million people are battling deficiency of food grains. According to the report, as a result of economic turmoil and climate disasters such as droughts and floods, conflict and insecurity are important factors. The bourgeois said that 80 percent of the people standing on the brink of hunger depend on agriculture. They need emergency humanitarian aid for food and there is a need to take steps to improve the agriculture. In this report, a country which is sheltering a large number of refugees, has underlined the pressure on the neighboring countries of war-affected Syria. In such countries Bangladesh is also millions of Rohingya refugees from Myanmar. The FAO said, if political and economic crisis persists in Venezuela, the number of displaced people may increase.
