BJP made special arrangements to ensure huge attendance in PM's rally
Kolkata, 2 April (HS): BJP West Bengal state President Dilip Ghosh today refused to pay any credence to the alleged attempts of the ruling Trinamool Congress to prevent the party(BJP) workers from attending Prime minister Narendra Modi''s historic rally at the Brigade Parade Ground here tomorrow. ''We have understood their alleged tactics and have taken steps to ensure huge and unprecedented attendance of general public and party supporters in tomorrow''s rally'', Ghosh said when his attention was drawn to the alleged complaints. Elaborating his plan the BJP state President said apart from booking a number of trains to bring the party workers from different South Bengal districts including those of Burdwan, Murshibabad, Bankura and Birbhum, they had kept ready a large number of vehicles outside both Howrah and Sealdah stations''. But if those buses were not allowed to ply, he said the party had requested everybody to walk down to Brigade Parade Ground, which is only about five km away from both the stations. Also claiming that Prime minister''s Brigade rally was expected to be attended by over a million people tomorrow breaking all previous records, Ghosh stated that TMC had decided to resort to such cheap tactics to prevent people from attending the rally was done in desperation since the party was afraid of such a huge gathering of people who were eager to listen to the Prime minister and his views for building a New India. ''Unlike previous occasions, BJP is now well prepared to tackle the situation and ensure an unprecedented gathering in both the rallies in Siliguri and at the historic Brigade Parade Ground tomorrow'', he said. Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to launch his election campaign in Bengal by addressing two huge rallies at Siiliguri and in the city here tomorrow generating tremendous enthusiasm among the electorate.
