New Delhi , April 01 (HS): Special court in Delhi on Monday granted bail to Robert Vadra in the money laundering case. The probe agency had wanted a custodial interrogation of Vadra in the case being probed against him pertaining to his alleged overseas property in London. However, their plea was dismissed. Special Judge Arvind Kumar granted the relief to Vadra and his aide on a surety of a bond of Rs five lakh each. The court also directed the duo not to leave the country without prior intimation.The court further asked the duo not to tamper with evidence or influence any of the witnesses in the case. Vadra''s close aide Manoj Arora was also granted bail in the case by the court, with the same bail conditions applicable for him. Both Vadra and Arora were out on interim bail presently. The court has also asked both the accused to join the investigation when called and that they should not be involved with tampering of any evidence of influencing any witness. "Very happy and proud that justice has prevailed. The legal system has emerged victorious," Vadra''s counsel Abhishek Manu Singhvi told reporters on Monday. Speaking to reporters, Vadra''s lawyer KTS Tulsi also said, "The government found nothing after 58 hours of interrogation.
