Six persons booked for failing to deposit licensed weapons in Kishtwar
Jammu, Mar 31 (HS): Jammu and Kashmir police booked six persons in Kishtwar district for ignoring administrative orders to deposit their licensed weapons in police stations in run-up to the upcoming parliamentary polls. District Magistrate Kishtwar had directed all the licensed weapon holders to deposit their weapons at concerned police station. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Adil Rishu said, “For violating model code of conduct, we have booked six people for failing to deposit weapons in Chatroo.” Ab Rehman, Mangat Ram, Krishan Lal, Gh. Hussain, Nazir Ahmed, Ab. Ganim were booked for not depositing their licensed weapons. However, investigation of the case is going on and police is identifying such more persons who have not yet deposited their licensed weapons in concerned police station so that action under law is taken against them, police said.
